Not the best DX, but the base resources were not very good and you can only work with source material.  However this is an ideal platform for somebody to make a better version of this DX if they have good source and materials.

Hi all

It's been a long time but I,m back on Fruit Emu

I don't think there,s EVER been a more exciting time for FME as MFME 5.1 can now do the very thing I,ve long dreamed of MFME doing being SWP/quiz machine comparable

I have never lost my love of fruit machine emulation

will all SWP or video based machines be available for download from here as well

And one last thing can I please have a direct download link to Barcrest,s version of Strike It Lucky which has been released today Been wanting to play that for years

Thanks

Gordon

This release has two version, one with a screen overlay ( many thanks to @A:E ) for allowing me to use the overlay here and one without.

Also a note of thanks to @Wizard for all the work he has done to make this game 100% playable and everything else for the scene as well as providing some source photos at The Mecca so I could confirm that there was nothing else to add here.

Note that this game plays 100% perfectly from an experience point of view if you get yourself a trackball.  Here is one I have got from Amazon...

What would you like to see in a future mfme update?

Yes I know we've got a new mfme5 emulator that does everything we all wished for and I'm grateful just like everyone else.
But what, if it was possible would you like to see in a future mfme update?
Personally in a players view I'd like to see online play but wizard has his reasons not to go there atm, but couldn't something like fruit-emu's very own arcade section host a few zip files with different challenges in them, like get a jackpot in the fewest credits, biggest bank etc.

Next from a designers view is there any way some of photoshops elements couldn't be incooperated into the design tools of mfme, especially for classic type layouts like for instance could we be able to design our own lamp shapes as in a arrow for trails, or a heart for extra life using a lasso type tool, so you'd be able to choose like you do now rectangle, circle triangle or make your own!
Which of course you'd colour in the usual manner
And couldn't a Omni type tool be installed for lighting up the squares, shapes or even text? As if these were in place it would give classic layouts a better design.

Sad loss of another talented actor today. He appeared in many TV programmes, including Coronation Street, Are You being Served, and as 'Dimes' in the 1979 film 'Porridge'. As well as many theatre productions

He is of course well known for playing the part of 'Rene Artois' in 'Allo Allo', the downtrodden husband/cafe owner.

Then get popup tells me i cant withdraw and to contact support.

After a lengthy chat i was told to send picture of back and front of card i made deposit with to verify my account.

Well this is new to me, so i did the deed and covered my card number etc.

Now they are asking for utility bill and driving licence, wtf is all that about?.

Didnt get any of this when i gave them MY cash.

Foreign EPOCH games, anyone?

Hi Folks

I haven't been on these forums for years, but some of the old timers might remember me.

I was a programmer at Mazooma and latterly Global Games before heading off on my own, and doing various things. Still very much in the industry but in the online side now.

I coded pretty much every foreign AWP game they did. Since all these machines are long outlawed and probably rusting in a shed somewhere in eastern Europe, would anyone like to have a go at making an emulation of some?

I found the ROMs and original source code on a CD whilst cleaning out my house recently, and can probably get a decent scan of the original artwork.

Also, for reference, I am working (very slowly!!) on writing a book about my time in the industry, stories about some of the characters, the games, how they're developed, how compensation/control of the games work. Hopefully accessible and understandable to everyone who's ever played a fruit machine, and full of funny stories. It's titled "Give It A Spin: Tales from the UK fruit machine industry 1996 - 2010". Will probably self-publish but it's only half finished.

Cheers

Ed

Hello, so I'm in Funtime Arcade in Southport today and decided to have a quick go (£9 n) and as it went up it just went dead and the staff person said they can't do owt about it and have to wait and they switched it off and on to avoid being told I already been up when clearly I haven't been up (winnings bank). Now they've barred me for saying I want compensated for it lol.

My first classic layout.

This is the current progress I have made so far...

However, when it's not in test mode, it gives a data port error. (picture below)

Anyone know how to fix this, and anyone have images of the actual machine?
