Mpu5 error help ?

Firstly my name's Chris this is my first post asking for help , I've been using this forum for my troubles with fruit machines for a while now and I can usually find my answer easily as there's alot of knowlagable fruity lovers here :-) however this problem I cannot wrap my head around..

I have a mpu5 machine that's been giving me issues for a few weeks now. I got it in a non working condition, it gave a battery low/dead error code so I replaced the coin battery and the machine powered up for about 5 minutes and gave a corrupt error aswell as a no I'd card error and character error, so I cleared the mem etc and it worked again for 5 mins and the same result... then nothing , it won't power the game card up at all, I replaced the green battery and then that also worked for a few minutes and it died again, every time I remove and test or replace and test the green battery it works fine for a few mins ... I don't understand what's wrong ? Any ideas at this point would be appreciated ...
I should also add I've tried another game board in this machine and it booted perfectly so the main board is fine I just don't understand how it will boot whenever it likes...

Been working on this on and off for a fair bit, I was too busy generally with work etc, but recently I became unemployed so I have a little time in between while I try to secure a couple of days freelance design work.

 

Hope to finally get this layout finished off.   Have redone a fair bit since.

 

I know someone released a DX of this recently, but my layout will differ.

 

The earliest version we have is Release B which stopped the machine being emptied with the game on nudges for the jackpot, the setups also changed and the reels landed differently in this release, I've rewrote portions of the gaming code and put the original emptier back in so setups never run out and the reel setups will land exactly like the original version :)

spotted this while looking on you tube and was wondering  (provided we had the roms) whether it would run in the current emulator? i i know the MABs wont run,but an undoctored version would surely ?

Empire games pure madness machine help !

I have acquired a pure madness machine by empire games. It's a great machine however the top panel has been shattered at some point in it's life and the decal is stuck to the glass so half of it Is missing

I can get the glass cut just up the road however I'm not sure how to go about the decal ? Any ideas ? I've searched the net for a picture to maybe get it printed but even so I can't use paper etc because of the heat from the bulbs , any advice would be great as it's a brilliant machine is like to get up together again (purely for home use) so doesn't have to be perfect would be good if it looked the part tho .

Ok guys im taking the kids to Richmond Holiday Park in good old skeg. They like me love the amusements and I don't mind the £5 jp etc at the seaside. Now quick question. In the arcade on site if anyone has been do you know what machine they got in there etc or is it worth not bothering with?

Been adding a few photos to my folder, from when iv been out and about with the kids. Hopefully to help with resources as point of reference.

The problem with trying to get good shots is,

 

1.Speaking with management to take photos so not to get thrown out or asked to delete images.

2.Not to take any images of machines while people are playing next to the one i want to take photo of.(people get touchy, specially if they're losing)

3.Not to take any images with kids in(again touchy subject to which i understand, as i got 2 girls myself.)

4.Reflections on glass from other machines, a nightmare(iv notice that a lot of arcades the fruit machines areas are in dark places or have neons everywhere so the you dont get a natural light)

5.Trying to take photos in high steaks area again nightmare.

6.Not to name arcades of where you took photos on net.

 

To be fair not really had that much trouble with management they have been ok as long as i follow some of the rules set out above, 1 place in blackpool though,is a no go with photos but use can always use your phone but photos aren't that clear.

 

But even if a classic gets made its one more than we had.

If anyone has any tips to help get a better photo am sure to popping to a beach sometime and always got my camera with me.will posting some more up over the coming days.

Was looking at other thread on here regarding JPM fireball, which gave me a thought and then I found it.............

 

Mdm's fireball.

 

Firstly was there any sound roms for this as the game seems to run mute?

 

Secondly I noticed when I hit the jackpot, the soundtrack used to be around 10 seconds long, but when you hit it, it's over in less than 2 secs.

 

Obviously I can't hear it so I'm guessing maybe the speed is too fast?

 

Can anyone assist with this one please, as loved this game?

virtual pinball mini table

hi folks, sorting through some of my pc bits and bobs,i found a couple of monitors,a 14" (which is no good to man nor beast lol) and a 17" widescreen.not wanting to chuck them out,i came up with the idea of building my little un a pin table.i was wondering if anyone had ever built one of these virtual tables and would the monitors i haver be good enough for a mini table?

i should also say i have a micro atx board with a core 2 cpu and 4Gb of ram on it which i would use for the machine itself

Monopoly Triple three player rom help

Its for Monopoly Triple three player the one where the top box has three jp's the standard monopoly man/ community chest and chance jp's

 

Been looking for these for some time and loaded them into a previous golden game layout, i have the roms running (sort of) but there's a few things i can't suss out

first the volume how do we turn it up on these including top box do i need to add a button or three

the base units run in door open but come up with error 60 and alarm on start up

the seven segs on all four units 3 plus top box aren.t correct 

here's the roms in said layout(s) if someone can sort the above out please.

 

also here's some roms for the monopoly casino three player set1 if anybody wants to get them running also, i think those are the ones with the notes for a fiver etc

Saturday Night Beaver

Well, my first proper attempt at doing a layout to go into the releases section.

 

As you can see, it's nowhere near finished and it will most definitely be rough and ready, when it is, but it will be finished for sure. Having played around with it for a good few hours, it appears to have no issues. I.E it accepts and pays out, meters are working and doors are closed. Hopefully, got a good few hours this week to work on it, so unless something unexpected happens, it'll be finished by the end of the week.

 

Very long shot, but do we have the proper reel bands for this machine? If not well I can use standard symbols from other global layouts and see what I can do about the beaver overlay symbols.The number reel for creation and testing has been borrowed from WWTBAMH.

£100 Jackpot Fruit Machines

Am I the only one who has never won a jackpot on these? :nah:

 

Very first week they came out won £89 on a cash or bust and that's my best.

 

Used to regularly win the £70 jackpots, even put in £2 and got a £70 + repeat once.

These machines in my area are definitely not as popular in pubs as they used to be, a few years back (£25-£35 era) used to always sit near the bandit and watch how much went in and really did do quite well.

Hi there new here just finding my feet have a couple questions to ask if anyone can help I have a barcrest its amazing machine and I get error 52-36 sermsnsomeone has had a go at the card I have a spare but would like to change the programme from hellraiser to its amazing is there software available to do this myself or anyone know where I can get a mpu5 card already set up thanks John

I have just plugged the machine in after sometime of being switched off, AL appears on the display and it starts screaming something like "get it out"

Time to play monopoly!!!!
 Here's my first multi player layout in the form of monopoly.
 
 due to the images found on the net the layout isn't as crystal clear as normal but perfectly playable.
 
 Thanks goto
Hitthesix/andy-1 for start up help.
Richy1976 for a few images found via net.
Fuzion for font identification.
 
And to Wizard and mfme.
 
 Normal Shortcuts apply.
 
 Onto the layout,
Sometimes when first started if you enter the top box via feature the top reels sometimes don,t spin on the first go but it still gives the prize, after that they should spin normally!!
This layout is perfectly sized for my laptop which is a 17" screen so you may need to resize the layouts to suit your devices.
 
 The Seven segs  up top, the four are correct but not sure on the fifth as haven't have a £100 streak yet...
Apart from that everything should be fine,
Load the layouts by loading the top box first, followed by the slave units 1,2,3.
 
 If anyone can get the roms for a £5 version running i have a £5 layout prepped and ready to go (except £5 roms lol) as these roms won't goto £5 for some reason.
