The Vegetable Crew set up help
finally had a go at finishing this layout thanks to ht6 for the basic started layout
its an earlier version of the weakest leek with basically the same veg except turnips instead of killer tomatoes on the earlier MIA/b tech not epoch
troubles i have is a can,t get it onto £250 jp
can,t get it out of demo mode
can't refill/insert £1's as don,t know what the button/coin insert is.
and the base buttons are incorrect atm
another minor difference is the leeks and onions are the opposite way around on this earlier version (and lamped different but sorted that part)

Looking to buy a Rio or T7
Hi all, hope you are well.
Was looking to purchase either a Rio or a T7, but been informed they are 13 years old now and want something reliable, but obviously that comes down to price and amongst other things, so would you try and buy newer or take a risk with a very old cab and how easy are they to repair should something go wrong?
Firstly, I was looking at places like JNC and they only seem to be selling old rios and nothing else, so the first question I would like to ask please, is where would you start looking to find one as I cant find many anywhere?
Secondly what sort of price are we looking at, and what would be deemed a good price, so that I am not getting ripped off?
I know Rios are going for anywhere between £250-£300 which sounds resonable to me, but last time I heard of T7's they were still fetching the 2k-4k mark.
Is this still the case and what is generally the going rate for these?
Thirdly and most importantly I would be looking for one with games I would personally prefer on it.
If you do buy one and iit doesn't come with all games, how easy/difficult is it to install them yourself, or does that come at a nasty price?
If anyone could help/suggest with my options, then it would be very much appreciated.
and another one gone...

Nudge Double Up Deluxe DX
Here's what I am currently working on. A DX for a classic JPM machine Nudge Double Up Deluxe, on the SRU tech. Set to the classic £1/5p prize/stake. Looks like it's using an old rom as well as any win over 50p pays out in tokens. Plus it has got a fixed percentage of 74%, which means it will be a pretty tight machine to say the least.
Huge thanks to instance automatics for the picture they uploaded to the Gallery, here, which I'm using for this particular DX. Should be a few days, or so. Picture of where it's at, attached.
Is anyone else getting this issue on the forum?

Looks like a Gladiators clone, never seen this machine before, do with have any resources at all for it.
Brief Introduction & First Project!
Hi there!
My name's Ben and I'm a freelance (non-union) voice actor.
I've been a fruit machine fan and a lurker of this forum for a long time now and always wanted to sign up, but given how much I struggle to balance social networking stuff these days, I felt it was worth waiting until I had something to contribute to you all first vs. posting an introduction then vanishing for weeks at a time.
I was born and raised in Blackpool, (so as you can imagine I've experienced my fair share of fruit machines!), but currently live in Hawaii in the United States with my wife.
My all-time two favorite fruit machines are "Crazy Fruits Green" and "Homer's Meltdown".
I was super happy to discover a couple of years ago that there were emulators for these sorts of things and that "Crazy Fruits Green" had a brilliant and clean layout recreation by The Killer Tomato (mocochoco?) but was slightly disappointed that my absolute favorite-favorite of the two machines, "Homer's Meltdown" didn't.
I've been following the progress of "Homer's Meltdown" via emulation for a good while now too. Seeing it go from not working at all, to running (but with Italian Job sounds), to just recently having a basic layout made by mazza500.
But having Photoshop and Graphic Design in my background, I decided "why wait for someone else to do it for me when I can contribute something to you guys myself?".
So over the last several months (on and off) I have painstakingly redrawn and color matched every element on the board. Going as far as to track down the original fonts used and so forth.
In that time TommyC has released a brilliant mash-up made from several images (which I also recommend people download!) so we sort of already have a layout with the actual graphics now, but my version has been completely redrawn from scratch at a high resolution, so hopefully it should still be worth having!.
I still have a ways to go before I finish, but I wanted to introduce myself, let people know I was working on it and tease folks with my progress as I'm now heading towards the home stretch as it were.
When I'm done (or when I have more to show) I'll create a thread for my project in the appropriate section before release, but for now; Howdy folks!
Thanks for reading!
Pictures:
As you can see, I was inspired layout-wise by the Crazy Fruits layout. I love how clean and clear that one is vs. coping the machine angles (but obviously that's totally a preference when it comes to emulation).
Please excuse my heavy watermarking and zoomed out/in screenshots. The finished release will have absolutely no watermarking, but I want to keep this thing underwraps really until it's done.
P.S. I feel now that I'm getting involved, it's only right of me to admit that I made a second account way back when I first started my project as I needed to do some testing and accidentally downloaded the wrong emulator (D'oh!). At the time I wasn't aware there was a hefty rule against this (though I should have expected as such really), so please forgive me folks!
RAM Resets in Arcades
seems pretty scummy to me. and it seems to be happening an awful lot in my local arcade recently.
are they allowed to reset the ram every few weeks to make more money?
Black Friday - Deal Or No Deal.
Is anyone else sceptical like me, that Black Friday, is like any other sale. Mainly it's tiny discounts and any large discount are off products that were at the Black Friday price previously (or even lower) earlier this year and the company has just ramped up the price for a month before, to say look 50% off etc....
Baking fruit machine boards in the oven...
Happy birthday cja272
Today it is site supporter and regular cja272. Happy birthday mate and hope you have a good one.
(Scratch Drawn) Homer's Meltdown DX
Howdy!
As many of you may already be aware (thanks to my introduction thread),
I'm working on a layout for "Homer's Meltdown".
When I started this project a few months ago there was no proper layout for this ROM and limited images available online of sufficient quality, so I began the process of redrawing the entire thing from scratch in Photoshop.
Literally everything you see has been remade, colormatched and font-matched to the original to ensure the highest possible clarity.
This of course also makes it slightly tedious to get just right!
Tracking down the fonts was a pain in itself. There are two fonts in the set that look almost identical and are only used in a couple of places, so I didn't even manage to get the similar font found until recently!
Below are the heavily watermarked preview shots from my introduction thread, but all future updates will be posted in this thread to keep the forums tidy.
Thanks for your interest!
